Our website http://fabresa.com (hereinafter the “Website”) uses a technological term known as “Cookies” in order to compile information about the use of the Website in accordance with Article 22 of the Information Society Services Law.

Cookies are small files which websites, on-line stores, intranets, on-line and similar platforms store in the user’s browser when visiting the website and allow it to retrieve stored information and provide numerous advantages when browsing the website to provide interactive services and also to provide the website owner with relevant information.

3.- CLASSIFICATION OF COOKIE TYPES

The following classification of possible Cookie types is provided for informative purposes only, since they are the most widely used, and will help you better understand the functions of each one:

3.1.- COOKIE TYPES ACCORDING TO THE ENTITY MANAGING THEM

Depending on who manages the equipment or domain from where Cookies are sent and processes the data they obtain, we are able to differentiate between:

• Own cookies:

These cookies are sent to the user’s terminal from a computer or domain managed by the editor and from where the service requested by the user is provided.

• Third party cookies:

These are sent to the user’s terminal from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity which process the data obtained via the cookies.

If cookies are sent from equipment or domain managed by the editor, but the information is compiled through cookies managed by a third party, they cannot be considered own cookies if the third party uses the data for its own purposes (e.g. improving the services it provides or providing advertising services on behalf of other entities).

3.2.- COOKIE TYPES ACCORDING TO THE PURPOSE

Cookies are used for many different purposes. Depending on the purpose for which data is obtained through cookies, some of which are:

• Technical cookies:

These cookies allow users to browse through a website, platform or application and use the different options or services available on it, including any that the editor uses to allow management and operation of the website and enable its functions and services, such as controlling traffic and reporting data, session ID, accessing restricted areas, remembering the order items, performing the order purchase process, managing payment, controlling any fraud linked to the service, making applications for registration or participation in an event, counting visits for the purposes of invoicing for software licences on which the service runs (website, platform or application), using security elements during browsing, storing content for displaying video or audio, enabling dynamic content (e.g. text or image loading animation) or sharing content in social media.

Also in this category because of their technical nature are cookies that permit managing advertising spaces as efficiently as possible, which, as an element of design or “modelling” of the service offered to users, the editor has included in the website, application or platform on the basis of criteria such as edited content, without them compiling any information about users for any other purpose, such as customising advertising and other content.

Technical cookies are exempt from compliance with the obligations established in Article 22.2 of the Information Society Services Law when they permit services provided to users that have been requested, such as the case of the cookies listed in the preceding paragraphs. Nevertheless, if these cookies are also used for other non-exempt purposes (e.g. for behavioural advertising), they will be subject to the said obligations.

• Preference or customisation Cookies

These Cookies allow remembering information so that users can access services with certain features that differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as the language, number of results to be shown during a search, the appearance or content of the service depending on the user’s internet browser when accessing the service or the region from which the service is accessed, etc.

If the user chooses these features (e.g. if they select the language of a website by clicking on the corresponding country flag icon), the Cookies will be exempt from the obligations established in Article 22.2 of the Information Society Services Law, since this is understood to be a service specifically requested by the user, providing that the cookies are exclusively used for this purpose.

• Analysis or measurement cookies:

These Cookies permit the manager of the cookies to track and analyse the behaviour of users on the website they are linked to, including quantification of the impact of adverts. The information compiled through these Cookies is used to measure activity on the website, application or platform in order to implement improvements according to the results of the data analysis concerning use by service users.
In regard to the processing of data compiled through analysis cookies, the GT29 stated that, despite them not being exempt from obtaining informed consent for use, they are unlikely to be a threat to users’ privacy, providing that they are first part cookies and process aggregate data strictly for statistical purposes, that information about their use is provided and users are provided with the option of disabling them.

• Behavioural publicity cookies:

These cookies store information about the behaviour of users obtained through constant observation of their browsing habits, meaning we are able to define a specific profile to display publicity accordingly.

3.3.- COOKIE TYPES ACCORDING TO THE PERIOD OF TIME THEY REMAIN ACTIVE

Depending on how long Cookies remain active in the terminal, we can differentiate between:

• Session cookies:

These are cookies that are designed to collect and store information whilst the user is browsing a website. They are usually used to store information that is only needed to provide the service requested by a user on a single occasion (e.g. a list of purchased products) and disappear at the end of the session.
